2024 Wedding Trends

2024 couples – you can finally say ‘I’m getting married this year.’ As exciting as it sounds, you may also feel a bit overwhelmed and anxious while planning the last-minute details. If you’re still finalizing those, we have some ideas for you!

Our wedding experts at the Windsor Ballroom of East Windsor, New Jersey, have some predictions for 2024 Wedding Trends. Check them out below –

Small Bouquets – inspired by the IT girl herself, Sophia Richie, small bouquets reflect modern, minimalist style and exhibit elegance. Smaller bouquets allow your dress, hair and makeup to be the moment.

Pearls – accessorizing your bachelorette, bridal shower or wedding day look with pearls is a must. Pearls create sophisticated elegance, exhibit femineity, and contribute to a modern, timeless style.

Digital Camera Photos – digital cameras are no longer a thing of the past. This year, you’ll see more couples opt to have photos taken on a digital camera (kodak, Nixon, etc), or have disposable cameras for their guests to take photos throughout the night. These vintage, film inspired photos will never go out of style.

Heart–Shaped Cakes – this trend emerged late in 2023, and it’s certainly sticking around following the new year. In addition to your wedding day, this trend can be incorporated into your engagement party, bachelorette trip or bridal shower.

Welcome Parties – gone are the days of rehearsal dinners, Gen Z couples want something more exciting and inclusive of all their guests. Hosted the day or evening before the wedding, these cocktail/dinner parties give guests (especially those traveling from out-of-town) something to look forward to upon their arrival. This informal setting allows guests to mingle amongst each other and allows the couple to spend more quality time with guests. These can be hosted at the Windsor Ballroom, or a local restaurant as we are in an extremely desirable location.

Digital Guest Books – the paper and pen is so last year! This new trend utilizes modern technology to create an opportunity for couples to receive more personalized messages from their loved ones such as videos, photos or voice recordings.

Bows- although it may be overdone in fashion, bows are expected to be a big trend for wedding décor in 2024. Adding a bow to your candles, centerpieces, champagne flutes, etc, creates a unique visual appeal and aesthetic.

Hotel Weddings – if you like convenience and saving money, then this is for you! Hotel weddings allow all aspects of your wedding to be in one location. You can alleviate the stress of planning shuttles, scheduling Ubers and coordinating several room block. At the Windsor Ballroom, we have an on-site hotel with 201 guest rooms. Your welcome party, ceremony, reception, after-party and farewell brunch will all be in one place allowing guests to relax and feel more comfortable. Three guest rooms are included in your wedding package.
