Makeup Trends for Winter Brides

January 15, 2018 | Posted in Events, Uncategorized, Weddings

Every bride wants to look her best on her wedding day. So naturally, she’s going to be concerned about what she’s wearing, and more importantly, her makeup. Putting on makeup for your wedding day is nothing like your daily routine. You want to look elegant and chic while also remaining true to yourself. Though your bridal beauty style is all up to you, we’ve come up with a few makeup trends we believe will come in handy if you’re getting married in the winter.

Dark Lips

One of the biggest trends we see during the winter time is going with a very dark lip. Once the fall hits you start to see makeup lines adding hues of plum, berry, and red. These colors can look breathtakingly gorgeous up against the rich tones of winter decor and your white wedding gown. Perfect no matter what your bridal colors are, a soft and subtle foundation with a dark lip will definitely draw everyone’s attention.

Clear Fresh Skin

Many brides are moving towards a more natural look. Minimizing the look of makeup, they often forego heavy layers of foundation and product and simply opt for a fresh, clean face and the perfect lip color. If you have fairly clear skin, you might consider going this route yourself. A good exfoliator used the night before on your face, will get rid of any unwanted gunk for a fresh, youthful look in the morning.

Flushed Cheeks

The winter can sometimes pull the rosiness from your face and leave you looking rather pale. Many brides have started using blush to put the pink back into their skin. Add a rosy colored blush to the skin lightly to bring the life back to pale skin.

Glitter and Embellishments

There’s something about glistening skin in the winter sunlight that makes a bride look especially enchanting. Using makeup with glitter or adding embellishments like stones and jewels to the face can help to enhance your look.

To look like the belle of the ball on your wedding day, keep these bridal beauty trends in mind. Remember, the winter is especially harsh on your skin so be sure to maintain a healthy skin care regimen that includes exfoliating and moisturizing. If you follow these tips you’ll love how you look on your special day.
