Stephanie + Sean’s Wedding Day at the Windsor Ballroom!

The couple tied the knot on December 2, 2023 in East Windsor, NJ. It was a crisp winter night and the couple said ‘I do’ in our indoor ceremony space and then celebrated with friends and family all night long. We had the opportunity to interview them post-wedding and here’s what they had to say:

Their Story

Stephanie and Sean met at a college party at Stockton University back in January 2017. The couple was introduced through mutual friends – Stephanie’s best friend and Sean’s best friend, were best friends. It was a fate moment that they met because neither of them graduated from Stockton and wouldn’t have met without their friends.

Their Proposal

Sean popped the question on a snowy December night back in 2021. He took Stephanie to a beautiful dinner on the water in Hoboken and then brought her over to the pier where he got down on one knee. She was completely surprised! Now, the couple has made it a tradition to eat at this restaurant every year on their engagement anniversary.

Their Wedding Day

After getting engaged, the couple started planning their big day. They wanted a winter wedding and chose the Windsor Ballroom because they fell in love with the space and the staff. “The staff was phenomenal to work with and made the process so enjoyable”, Stephanie reminisced.

Stephanie wore a fitted dress with a trumpet-styled bottom with an open back. It had a moderate-length train and had a ton of shimmer and detail. At first, she wasn’t interested in this style but the experts at the boutique encouraged her to try it on. Stephanie was completely surprised by how beautiful and confident she felt in this dress and knew in that moment, it was the one!

The couple had their intimate first look on site, followed by their indoor ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Stephanie’s favorite part of her wedding day was the entire reception! From dancing with her family, friends and new husband, the DJ went above and beyond to keep everyone on the dance floor all night. The couple shared their first dance to the song ‘From the Ground Up’ by Dan and Shay.

Guests were greeted with a glass of champagne as they entered the ballroom and had a choice of three delicious entrees: Ginger-Infused Salmon, Herb French Roasted Chicken stuffed with spinach and Boursin cheese and a Grilled NY Strip Steak. “I have heard wonderful compliments about the food from our guests”, Stephanie shared. The cocktail hour was filled with a variety of stations, but the couple’s favorite was the 360° cheese table featuring artisan breads, a crostini bar and a bountiful harvest display.

The party didn’t stop there! The couple and their guests stayed the night at our hotel and kept the party going at the restaurant and bar-on site. “My guests loved the idea of not having to travel the entire weekend”, Stephanie expressed. They parked their cars when they arrived and from then on, everything was brought to them! “Celebrating all in one location is truly ideal.” Stephanie shared. They even had breakfast the next morning with their family and friends before everyone departed home.

The big day may be over, but they’re still looking forward to their honeymoon. Stephanie and Sean will be traveling to ‘anywhere that has a beach’ after Stephanie graduates with her master’s degree this May. Working with this couple has been such an enjoyable experience and we wish them a lifetime of happiness together.
